Piper and Driscoll Exchange a Few Emails
In an attempt to keep the bloggers from going nuts over John Piper's remarks concerning Mark Driscoll (during the panel discussion at the 2006 Desiring God Conference, Piper shared some concerns that he had about Driscoll), they have decided to release a series of email exchanges between themselves to the public. You can read the exchanges here. People love controversy--unfortunately, there isn't much red meat here. Sorry bloggers!

Challies made a good point in that a few negative comments on his blog can seem like there's a major controversy brewing. In actuality, the issue was very minor.
I think we should develope 2 churches in the Reformed circles--the Driscoll Church of the Reformed, and the Piper Church of the Reformed.
After they die we can form our official denominations and make fun of one and other for the next hundred years. You and I can brag about how we were witnesses to the original stage debate that ended up in an epic showdown between 2 Reformed giants of our day.
Perhaps we can make a movie or write poetry about it when we are old. Sounds like a good time.
